This is the first week of Mana’o Monday. I thought I would go with a challenge that seemed perfect.
The Mana’o Monday Challenge for this week is The Beginning.
Mana’o Monday is a new weekly writing challenge. We all have our own stories, but sometimes we get writer’s block or just can’t pull up those interesting stories that lie within us. The idea behind Mana’o Monday is to present you with a word or a phrase that should trigger a memory, or if you like to write fiction, a new story. The whole idea is to get you writing. Maybe you write daily or maybe you rarely write, but want to start again, then Mana’o Monday is for you. We welcome true stories, fiction stories, memories, anything you want to write as long as it is related to the weekly challenge.
Why Mana’o Monday?
Mana’o is the Hawaiian word for thought, idea, belief, opinion, and meaning. I think it’s the perfect word for a sharing theme. And Monday for the obvious reason, as the topic for each week will be posted on Monday.
We’ll be starting Mana’o Monday on Monday January 7th.
Check the How to Participate section if you have questions, and be sure to sign up for the email update to be notified when new challenges are posted.
